ITIL® 5 Qualification Scheme

The Foundation: Your Entry Point

Every journey in the ITIL 5 scheme begins with the ITIL Foundation. This module provides a shared language and introduces the Unified Digital Product and Service Lifecycle, establishing a common understanding of value creation and collaboration.

Omnicom’s enhanced approach integrates advanced practical insights that are typically reserved for higher-level designations. This unique “extra” ensures our participants don’t just learn the theory but gain a head start on mastering the Transition and Operation management — a level of comprehensive readiness that no other provider offers. This includes focus to Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, SLA and Service Desk.

Three Specialized Learning Streams

Beyond the Foundation, the scheme is organized into three distinct learning streams, each leading to a professional designation:

1. ITIL Practice Manager (Version 5)

This stream is for those focused on the practical “how-to” of digital operations. To earn this designation, you must complete the Foundation, the core Transformation module, and one of three practice specializations:

  • Monitor, Support and Fulfil (MSF): Includes Service Desk, Incident, Problem, Request, and Monitoring & Event Management.
  • Plan, Implement and Control (PIC): Includes Change, Deployment, Release, Configuration, and Asset Management.
  • Collaborate, Assure and Improve (CAI): Includes Relationship, Supplier, Service Level, Continual Improvement, and Information Security Management.
  • ITIL Transformation: Bridging the gap between specific operational practices and organizational improvement.

2. ITIL Managing Professional (Version 5)

Designed for those leading digital teams and managing complex value streams. This designation requires four core modules:

  • ITIL Product: Focuses on the end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • ITIL Service: Optimizing service delivery and reliability.
  • ITIL Experience: Emphasizing customer and employee experience.
  • ITIL Transformation: Managing organizational change and improvement.

3. ITIL Strategic Leader (Version 5)

This stream targets leaders who align digital strategy with business goals. It requires two core modules:

  • ITIL Strategy: Crafting adaptive digital directions.
  • ITIL Transformation: Implementing strategic change.

The Power of “ITIL Transformation”

A unique feature of the ITIL 5 scheme is the ITIL Transformation module. It is a core requirement for all three professional designations. You only need to take it and pass the exam once; your achievement applies across any stream you choose to pursue.

ITIL Master

The ITIL Master remains the highest designation in the scheme. It is awarded to professionals who demonstrate deep expertise by successfully completing all three professional designations: Practice Manager, Managing Professional, and Strategic Leader .

AI Governance: The Future-Ready Extension

Recognizing the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, ITIL 5 includes an AI Governance (Extension Module). This course focuses on the ethical, responsible, and compliant adoption of AI. Uniquely, it has no prerequisites, allowing anyone in the organization to gain essential knowledge on AI risk management and transparency.

The previous ITIL 4 extension modules are not included in the ITIL (Version 5) scheme
