We would like to inform our customers about the planned migration of the GLPI system to version 11, which will take place gradually in both Public Cloud and Private Cloud environments. The goal is to ensure a smooth transition and provide maximum support throughout the entire migration process.
What’s new in GLPI 11?
GLPI 11 brings numerous improvements in performance, user interface, and security. Detailed information about the new features will be shared soon in a separate article.
GLPI in the Public Cloud
For new instances:
- Until December 31, 2025: GLPI 10 remains the default version, while GLPI 11 is available as an optional choice.
- From January 2026: GLPI 11 becomes the default version.
For existing instances:
- October 6 – December 31, 2025: A pilot migration program will run for volunteer customers (paid instances only). Registration will be available through the standard technical support form.
- Compatibility of all plugins with GLPI 11 is essential.
- Migrations will take place in pre-planned waves under the supervision of the GLPI development team.
- If you decide to revert to GLPI 10, this will be possible via backup restoration.
- From January 2026: Remaining customers will be informed about their migration timelines. The migration process will continue gradually throughout 2026, with full support for GLPI 10 maintained during the entire transition period.
Note: PREPROD instances are not available in the Public Cloud environment.
