On a sunny June day, the entire OMNICOM team headed to the picturesque village of Malá Lehota, where we spent time with the civic association Cesta medu (The Honey Path). Together, we helped out, relaxed, strengthened our team spirit, and got to know our “company bee family.” 😊
Our goal was to contribute to nature conservation and support biodiversity. During the day, we inaugurated our very first corporate OMNICOM beehive, learned about the life of bees, and thanks to the expert guidance of the “honey guru” Juraj Sestrienka, we discovered many fascinating facts about the world of beekeeping. We even extracted our own honey—and of course, we didn’t miss out on tasting it. Best of all—no one got stung!
But the volunteer day wasn’t just about relaxation. Together, we helped fence off a plot of land where a new chestnut orchard and apiary will be established. We cleared the area of invasive trees and bushes, cut down old trees, and prepared the land for new life. And as a reward for a job well done, we cooked a delicious kettle goulash together.
We thank the Cesta medu civic association for the opportunity to be part of its vision,
and we look forward to future joint projects.
